Comus of ACtoys.net has posted a high resolution gallery of the upcoming Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave. These new images demonstrate the different permutations of the alternate mode, as well as showing the robot mode in some different posts, and to top it all off, Soundwave's missile is also shown (speculation abound that the missile may in fact be Soundwave's companion / minion, Ravage).
Our own S250 has shared with us photos from tf08.net of another upcoming Transformers 2 toy. This one is a remold of the highly-desired deluxe Bumblebee from the first film. Sharp-eyed fans can see the head and front bumper are remolded and the weapon is new.
yizhi521 of TF08.net has posted the first, although low resolution, look at a Transformers Movie Wreckage repaint. Looks like Wreckage is in his original concept colors and maybe an upcoming release in anticipation of Revenge of the Fallen.
Del Rey Online has put up a listing for a new Transformers Revenge of the Fallen tie-in novel. The novel's title is Transformers The Veiled Threat. It will be written by Alan Dean Foster who is also writing the Revenge of the Fallen movie adaptation novel, and is due out in April 2009 (one month before the adaptation is due to hit bookstore shelves).
Barnes & Noble also have a listing for this book simply as "bridge book" implying this novel is intended as a prequel to Revenge of the Fallen, bridging the gap between the first 2007 live action movie (and its novel adaptation) and Revenge of the Fallen.
Lucky Peaugh of our 2005 Boards has got his hands on the Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave we have all been admiring pictures of these last couple of weeks. He has generously shared a full pictorial and video review with us! Check out the video review below, or hit "discuss" to view the pictorial review which includes comparison shots with other Deluxe Class Transformers and the alternate satellite mode.
Posting earlier today on our 2005 Boards, Roberto Orci shared a few new pieces of information with us about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The big news today is about the length of the sequel:
" one new bit of info I can tell you is that the movie will be a longer than the first one (probably)"
Additionally, Roberto explained that the footage shown at the recent wrap party was not a trailer but rather select footage only, and did not show any footage of the robots. He does confirm though that to the best of his knowledge, all of the designs for the 'bots are pretty much finished.
On behalf of the staff of TFW2005, I would like to thank Roberto Orci for his continued support and continuing to answer our questions about Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you may do so in the Welcome Mr Roberto Orci You May Ask him Questions thread on our 2005 Boards.
A selection of new images of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave have appeared today. First, 2005 Boards member S250 shared a nice sharp close up image of Soundwave's face with us. Next, we have a mini-gallery of Soundwave on ACtoys.net posted by Comus of TF08.net; these images show Soundwave transformed into what could be his satellite mode. Last but not least, Benzo linked us to a picture by Dave's Toylet, which shows a size comparison between the new Movie Soundwave, and the classic Generation 1 Soundwave. This new image seems to suggest that Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave is going to be a Deluxe class toy (in line with speculation that this might in fact be a Revenge of the Fallen "movie preview" toy in the style of the Protoform Optimus Prime and Starscream from the 2007 Movie line).
At long last! After being teased many times with blurry pictures, we are proud to present four clear images of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave in robot mode! These images finally give a good idea of what Soundwave will look like, including a clear look at Soundwave's head and the back of the robot mode!

We have received confirmation from the TFW TF2 Insider that the mysterious set of eyes seen on the officially released Revenge of the Fallen packaging images belong to The Fallen! Yes! Not only did the official images give us our first look at the packaging for the new Movie toys, but it also teased us with a look at the face of The Fallen himself!
Another blurry image of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave has surfaced. This image shows the head and upper body of the robot, revealing a good amount of blue detailing on the upper chest, and something that might excite fans of the original series - this new image seems to indicate that Soundwave will have a head design very closely modeled on his original appearance from 1984, complete with blue "crown", faceplate and visor! Check out the image by clicking on the image to the left.
We have received official images of the upcoming Transformers Superion giftset. However, these pictures contrary to previous images that showed Superion in a 25th Anniversary Universe box show Superion in Movie-themed Transformers Revenge of the Fallen packaging. Therefore this is also our very first look at the packaging for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! Of particular interest, note the Egyptian theme to the packaging insert card, which fits together with previous reports of an Egyptian tie in the sequel (as well as the "Cyberglyphics" trademark application) and the mysterious set of four eyes in the middle of the top of the packaging.
Update - the official images have now been added to our resources section!
